Wayfair to Introduce New Store Concept at Wilmette’s Edens Plaza

Massachusetts-based WS Development is purchasing Edens Plaza in Wilmette, IL for an undisclosed sum and has executed a lease with Wayfair for more than 152,000 square feet of retail space, located at the northwest corner of Lake Avenue and Skokie Boulevard. The development would fill the vacant two-story building formerly home to Carson Pirie Scott.

The Edens Plaza location will be the first to feature the new retail concept for Wayfair, with plans for opening in mid-2023. The former Carson’s space, vacant for four years, will be transformed into the new Wayfair space and WS Development plans to invest in modern facade updates and landscape upgrades.

“Filling this strategic space has been a longstanding economic development priority of the Village Board, and we are thrilled that WS Development and Wayfair will help to reinvigorate Edens Plaza,” said Senta Plunkett, president of the Village of Wilmette.
