Transwestern Real Estate Services has acquired MGA, Inc., a Washington, DC-based commercial real estate firm specializing in tenant advisory services.

Eight brokers from MGA, Inc. have joined Houston, TX-based Transwestern Real Estate Services to expand the scope and expertise of the latter’s tenant advisory and workplace solutions platform in the Mid-Atlantic region. In addition, three professionals skilled in financial analysis and project management have joined Transwestern Real Estate Services, which has offices in Baltimore and Bethesda.

MGA, Inc. was established in 2010 by founder and president Michael Goldman (now EVP at Transwestern Real Estate Services) and is a full-service tenant representation firm that provided real estate advisory services such as workplace strategy, market intelligence, site selection and lease negotiation, as well as project management and post-occupancy services for real estate occupiers.

Transwestern Real Estate Services has also signed a letter of intent to acquire West, Lane & Schlager, a 26-year-old commercial real estate firm that exclusively represents clients in the DC area.
