Trader Joe’s to Open New Metro Portland Location

A new Trader Joe’s is set to open in Gresham, within the Portland metro area, at the Oregon Trail Center.

The store will be located at 2083 NE Burnside Road, taking over the former Big Lots location, according to the Portland Business Journal. This will be the first Trader Joe’s location in Gresham, and 11th in the Portland metro area, not including two stores in Vancouver.

The national grocery chain known for its unique products and wide selection of private-label items recently added more than a dozen new locations to its “opening soon” website page over the last few months in addition to the Gresham store.

Last year, Trader Joe’s opened a new store at Skyview Station, a recently completed retail center in Salmon Creek, Washington. The 13,000-square-foot location is within the Skyview Station complex just six miles north of downtown Vancouver.
