Top 5 Grilling Apps. Yep, There’s an App for That

National  + Weekender  |

The July 4th holiday weekend is the perfect occasion to fire up the grill and cook for friends and family. Even if you consider yourself a grill master, there’s now an app to take your skills to the next level.

Here are the grilling apps Uproxx rates as its top five.

The Pit Pal: It is billed as a “well-rounded” and information-packed app for rookies to more experienced grillers. You can also upload data, and create a database of what worked and didn’t for the next time.

GrillTime: Is rated as one of the most useful cooking apps because it tells you the perfect amount of time to grill everything. You plug in the information and it lets you know when to flip, and how long to grill. You can set multiple timers, which makes it easier to keep track of everything you have on a grill. Works with an Apple Watch too.

Webers’ On The Grill: Offers two apps, one free and another for $5. It is good for those new to charcoal grilling, or those looking to expand their charcoal grilling expertise.

Food Monster: Perfect app for to get vegetarians and vegans into the grilling game. It takes you beyond “veggie skewers,” into exotic new cooking adventures. Even if you’re not vegetarian, it offers ideas for fun sides.

Grill-It! Is for veteran, habitual grillers. Its expanding list of virtually every possible grilling menu, is like having a digital cookbook in your pocket. It is especially helpful when juggling the BBQ dietary needs of guests.
