The Limits of Augmented Reality
The exciting new world of virtual reality and augmented reality is quickly hitting a rigid limit: the ability of a human mind to absorb information.
Technology companies are creating new technologies to serve up seemingly infinite amounts of information. For real estate, that includes information from construction sites and smart devices or “virtual” property tours.
However some experts now warn against information overload.
“We’ve not yet reached the phase where information is being exchanged in an intuitive and prioritized way, so a user knows the difference between ‘an email just came in’ versus ‘a truck is about to hit me,”‘ said Mika Majapuro, director of product development for Glenview, IL–based Teletrac Navman.
