Tesla Leases 115K SF Seattle-Area Industrial Space

Tesla is continuing to expand the company’s presence in the Seattle area. The electric car maker has signed a lease for nearly 115,000 square feet in Renton, Washington, reported the Puget Sound Business Journal.

Tesla plans to use the building, which was formerly a metal processing and distribution building, as a new site with a service and collision center. The industrial warehouse building is just a few minutes away from the company’s 10,000-square-foot Tesla store, located at 700 S. Grady Way.

Pre-application documents were filed with the city of Renton last December for a 115,000-square-foot building at 600 SW 10th, and the lease was signed during the third quarter per CBRE reported the outlet. Tesla opened its first Pacific Northwest plant earlier this year in NorthPoint Development’s 5.1-million-square-foot Cascade Industrial Center in Marysville.
