SA Manufacturer to Expand, Receive Incentives

The New Braunfels City Council okayed an economic development agreement providing $1.6 million in incentives to support a $100 million expansion by Aumovio at its Kohlenberg Road facility. Aumovio is the new name of the company formerly known as Continental Autonomous Mobility. Aumovio offers electronic products and advanced mobility solutions for the software-defined vehicle, providing safe, exciting, connected, and autonomous mobility to a wide range of global customers.

The agreement facilitates Aumovio’s plan to expand its 215,000-square-foot manufacturing plant by 65,000 square feet, which was opened in 2022 with a $110 million investment. The existing facility, valued at $171 million in 2024, employs approximately 430 workers and is expected to generate $7 million in property taxes over the next 10 years.
