Record Holiday Travel Predicted
Travel experts believe the 2017 holiday season from December 23 through New Year’s night will set a new record.
In its annual forecast, AAA Auto Club estimates 107.3 million Americans will travel a minimum of 50 miles. This number marks a 3.1% increase from holiday travel over the same time last year. Of those traveling, an expected 97.5 million will drive and 6.4 million will fly.
The company’s data shows that the top places people are going are:
1. Orlando, FL
2. Anaheim, CA
3. Cancun, MX
4. Honolulu, HI
5. Maui, HI
6. Montego Bay, Jamaica
7. Punta Cana, Dominican Republic
8. Miami, FL
9. Ft. Lauderdale, FL
10. New York, NY
