Puyallup Tribe Breaks Ground on Tacoma Admin Building
The Puyallup Tribe of Indians has begun developing it’s 18-acre entertainment district next to the $400 million Emerald Queen Casino and Hotel in Tacoma, WA. The Puyallup Tribe recently held a groundbreaking ceremony for a 95,000-square-foot administration building and 200,000-square-foot parking garage on East 29th Street.
The Puget Sound Business Journal reports the administration building is one of several structures planned for the site. The redevelopment also calls for a multi-user field, museum and retail and entertainment buildings. Freiheit Architecture designed the admin building and JTM Construction is the general contractor.
In a news release, the Puyallup Tribe said, “With this new building, we are excited for the future of our tribe and the future of this area. This new administration building gives our membership and employees and exceptional location for business.”
The administration building and parking garage are expected to be completed in 2024.
