Portland-based coworking operator Centrl Office will open a 34,000-square-foot location at Waterfront Plaza in early 2026, marking its first San Francisco site.

The space, leased from Jamestown LP, will feature private offices and meeting rooms for flexible memberships. Centrl’s new footprint occupies part of WeWork’s former space at 50 Francisco St., within the 437,800-square-foot complex, reported the Portland Sound Business Journal. WeWork had maintained a 62,000-square-foot location at 50 Francisco before the pandemic.

Founded in 2014, Centrl operates additional locations in Portland, Seattle, Sacramento and Los Angeles. Centrl’s plan to open a San Francisco location comes as Jamestown has seen a flurry of leasing activity at Waterfront Plaza, having signed lease deals totaling nearly 24,000 square feet with five AI-focused startups.
