New Burlington Store to Open at Oakland Plaza in Michigan
Burlington Stores, Inc., is set to open its first store in Troy. It plans to be located at Oakland Square, a 220,000-square-foot regional shopping center owned by Continental Realty Corporation (CRC). Burlington will join other anchors this fall, including HomeGoods, Five Below, Kohl’s and Ulta, in the center, which is now 83 percent leased.
CRC’s Rachel Lee, Daniel Stern, Jared Gell, Eric Unatin, and Mid-American Real Estate Michigan’s Eric Birnholtz represented the landlord in the transaction. Bradley Gershman of Gershman Partners and Andrew Luckoff of Landmark Commercial Real Estate Services represented the tenant.
“Our goal is to continue offering area residents low prices on brand-name merchandise for the entire family and home,” said Michael O’Sullivan, CEO of Burlington Stores. “We’re continuing to expand our footprint across the country and are excited to be opening a new store in Troy, MI.” Burlington currently operates eight stores in the northwest Detroit area, including in Bloomfield Township, Rochester Hills, Southfield, and Sterling Heights.
