New Beach Resort, Airstrip Coming to Bolivar Beach
The Bolivar peninsula is popping. Last year, the Bolivar Beach Club and RV Resort opened up and soon, a 32 unit condo development will take on its first occupants. Now, a new development is slated to inhabit the once sleepy beach. Called The Peninsula Beach Resort, the first phase will consist of a 41,000 square foot bar and grill called The Zoo. The warehouse-looking main building will have pickleball and volleyball courts with multiple bars on the sand. Construction is starting next month.
The Peninsula Beach Resort is expected to also include a private beach club, a 50-unit luxury RV resort park, 90 2 & 3-bedroom beach houses, a retail strip, over 160 condos and a 222-room resort, in phases. And to make it easy to get there, a private small-engine airport just across the road. The Peninsula will take up 110 acres on Crystal Beach off Highway 87.
