Google Plans to Exit 52K SF of Seattle Office Space

Google is leaving its office in the West Dock building in Seattle’s Fremont neighborhood, after occupying the space for more than seven years.

Google had subleased the space from Salesforce, which acquired the site’s original tenant Tableau in 2019, according to the Puget Sound Business Journal. Located at 437 N 34th Street, the three-story building spans approximately 52,000 square feet.

The space already has a new tenant. Last month, Seattle-based real estate development group Hess Callahan Grey Group (HCG Group) announced that PATH, a global health nonprofit, had signed a lease agreement for the building’s entire 52,000 square feet. PATH is moving its headquarters to the West Dock building after 15 years in South Lake Union.

HCG Group purchased West Dock, a former gym facility, and fully renovated the space in 2014. It offers unobstructed views of the ship canal and direct access to the Burke-Gilman Trail. HCG Group has developed multiple buildings in the area, including the Watershed Building and the large-scale CLT mass timber showcase property Northlake Commons.
