Having launched this past summer in Europe and expanded across the Asia Pacific region, a group aimed at sharing blockchain knowledge among the commercial real estate industry is coming to America. The Foundation for International Blockchain and Real Estate Expertise (FIBREE) has launched in the U.S. and South America, with a network of regional chairs now in place.
“By expanding our organization into the Americas, we are further accomplishing our goal in reaching real estate, finance and IT professionals with blockchain interests across the world,” said FIBREE president Achim Jedelsky.
FIBREE intends to be a global voice and top international network for the facilitation of blockchain knowledge and exchange among the real estate and IT sectors where blockchain technology is applicable. By expanding the successful, decentralized meetup network across the world, FIBREE says it will also enhance the exchange between different local hubs as well as intensify the exchange between corporations, startups, tech-companies and related experts.
Headquartered in Amsterdam, the not-for-profit FIBREE already claims an active network of over 2,000 block and real estate enthusiasts. This group in turn can access a robust, vetted network of more than 15,000 like-minded professionals around the world, according to FIBREE. Membership in FIBREE is free.
New York City-based blockchain attorney Alexandra Levin Kramer has been appointed as FIBREE’s North America coordinator. There are also eight regional chairs or co-chairs: John Dean Markunas and Gregory Yakubov, New York; Brock Freeman, Seattle; Geoffrey Kasselman, Chicago; Eric Bryant, Orange County (Los Angeles); Pete Su and Ranga Krishnan, San Francisco/Silicon Valley; and the Brazil regional chair, Rafael Stocco, Sao Paolo.
FIBREE’s regional chairs across the Americas will lead and facilitate local and regional blockchain networking events, education, use cases, partnerships, sponsorships, membership and the overall advancement of FIBREE’s mission in their respective markets.
In Europe, FIBREE is represented by regional chairs from Austria, Croatia, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Slovenia and Switzerland. The Asia Pacific region is represented by Australia, India, Israel and Taiwan. The group’s first World Summit is scheduled for May 21 in Vienna.
