EYA, BMC Acquire Rockville Site for Office-to-Residential Conversion

D.C.-Based EYA, in partnership with a Bernstein Management Corporation investment affiliate, and represented by Rick Siegel, Wendy Feldman Block, and Ken Biberaj of Savills, has acquired 13.76 acres in Rockville, Maryland.

Located at the intersection of Key West Avenue and Omega Drive in the heart of Montgomery County’s I-270 life sciences corridor, the site currently houses two office buildings slated for demolition in early 2028. In their place, EYA and BMC will create a new townhome community.

The site offers access to major employers and strong transit connections. The project is anticipated to open for sales in late 2028. It joins EYA’s other local communities, including Tower Oaks, Farmstead District, and Cabin John Village.

“This as-is acquisition represents a pivotal moment for EYA,” said Aakash Thakkar, Chief Acquisitions Officer, EYA. “It underscores our ability to structure creative transactions and create maximum risk-adjusted value for commercial land sellers.”
