  • Farbman Group hired Nick Diedrich to join NAI Farbman, the firm’s global brokerage firm, as an associate broker. Diedrich has spent two decades working in the brokerage industry. He is well-versed in all areas of commercial real estate, with experience owning and managing office, retail and multi-family properties. As an associate broker for NAI Farbman, Diedrich will focus on the Ann Arbor and Brighton retail and leasing markets.
  • CREC Real Estate, a private equity real estate investment firm, has welcomed Carson Hammer as Vice President of Acquisitions to manage the firm’s acquisition efforts of multifamily properties in the Southeastern United States. With over ten years of multifamily experience spanning acquisitions to operations, Hammer most recently served as Vice President of Investments for Salt Lake City-based Sundance Bay, and he held prior acquisitions roles at Rincon Partners and Passco Companies. Hammer also served on Greystar’s regional operations team and Cushman and Wakefield’s multifamily sales team.
  • Lee & Associates announced John Joyce has been promoted to Vice President from Senior Associate. Joyce’s primary focus includes agency leasing, tenant representation, and acquisition and disposition services of industrial properties in the Northwest Cook, North Cook and South Lake County submarkets. Prior to joining Lee & Associates, he worked as a Senior Advisor at SVN Chicago Industrial. Joyce earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Miami University.
  • Brown Brothers Harriman & Co. has named Fernando Soto as Head of the firm’s Chicago office. In this role, Soto will lead the multi-family office practice, continue to grow the firm’s corporate advisory and banking team, and further develop its network of Midwest private business owners. Soto was previously based in New York and succeeded Tom Davis as office head. He joined Brown Brothers in 2016 and has overseen some of the firm’s largest private client relationships. Also joining the Chicago office is John Harms, who will lead the Midwest corporate advisory and banking practice, which provides corporate finance advice and capital to privately held businesses.
  • DTN Management Company, a property management and real estate group based in Michigan, celebrated the firm’s milestone of 50 years of service in the industry. Established by Tom Kuschinski and Nick Uppal, DTN has been dedicated to local residents, partners, and associates. Over the decades, the company has worked across Greater Lansing’s landscape and expanded its reach into multiple metropolitan areas, including Grand Rapids, Traverse City, and Metro Detroit. DTN has also expanded into Florida with luxury developments, and the firm’s portfolio includes student properties, construction and commercial real estate.
  • MRI Software, an Ohio-based global real estate solutions company, has been recognized as a leader in technology-based solutions by IDC, a provider of IT research. In a recently released report by IDC, MRI Software’s platform was noted to address the complexities of accounting compliance and that the company’s lease accounting solution “enables organizations to effectively manage lease portfolios, automate lease calculations, and generate accurate financial reports.”
