CBRE Arranges 32K-SF Life Science Lease at MD Research Square

CBRE represented Velocis and Altus Realty in a 32,000-square-foot lease with Hansoh Bio at 1500 Research Boulevard, part of the newly redeveloped Research Square life science campus in Rockville, Maryland.

Hansoh Bio, an innovation-driven biotech, will occupy the entire second and third floors of 1500 Research Boulevard, consisting of fully built-out laboratory and office space, as well as lab-ready shell space. This transaction marks one of the largest new research and development leases in the Mid-Atlantic market over the past 24 months and officially kicks off leasing activity at Research Square.

Research Square, a two-building campus acquired by Altus Realty and Velocis in 2022, has been transformed into Class A lab and office space. The property offers flexible, efficient workspaces and a suite of modern amenities, including collaborative lounges, outdoor meeting areas, and advanced lab infrastructure.

“Hansoh Bio’s commitment illustrates the appeal of Research Square’s premier facilities to leading life science tenants,” said Kevin Reap, Senior Vice President, CBRE.
