Berlin Packaging Moving from West Loop to Merchandise Mart

Packaging supplier Berlin Packaging is moving its headquarters from the West Loop to the Merchandise Mart, Vornado’s 3.7 million-square-foot office building that spans two city blocks and rises 25 stories.

The firm is relocating its global headquarters to the Merchandise Mart with a new 38,600-square-foot lease. The move to 222 W Merchandise Mart Plaza is brokered by Cushman & Wakefield’s Andy Heymann, while leasing at the Mart is managed by Stream Realty’s Andrea Saewitz, Wendy Katz, and Ben Cleveland, reported Crain’s.

Berlin’s current lease for its 34,000 square foot space at 525 W. Monroe runs through August 2026, though details of the new lease were not disclosed. Earlier this year, car insurance company Geico took nearly 19,000 square feet at the Merchandise Mart.
