1 Hotel Seattle Debuts in South Lake Union
1 Hotels, an eco-luxury hospitality brand, has opened its newest property in Seattle’s South Lake Union neighborhood. Located at 2125 Terry Avenue, 1 Hotel Seattle features 153 guest rooms, including 45 suites.
The hotel emphasizes sustainability, nature-inspired design aligning with the Pacific Northwest’s environmental values and culture. Designed with reclaimed materials, local artwork, and natural elements, the hotel features moss walls, living installations, and furnishings crafted from sustainable wood. The hotel is targeting LEED Silver certification and participates in a True Zero Waste program.
1 Hotel Seattle offers walkable access to Pike Place Market, the waterfront, and Amazon’s headquarters. “Seattle is a city where nature and innovation coexist beautifully—and that’s exactly what we aimed to capture with this property,” says Barry Sternlicht, Founder of 1 Hotels and Chairman of Starwood Hotels. “This city has long been a pioneer in sustainability, environmental stewardship, and progressive thinking.”
