2021 closings provided unique multifamily and commercial transactions with 25-plus institutions

In 2020, Tyler Bradford founded Convoy Capital, a commercial mortgage brokerage with a specialty in multifamily loan originations. Prior to that, Bradford was a top broker for 14-plus years at Venture West Funding and First Pacific Financial.

Bradford’s 2021 closings provided unique multifamily and commercial transactions spread across over 25 institutions. Three notable deals were a $44.6-million refinance for 157 units in West Hollywood and Sherman Oaks properties; cash-out refinance loans totaling $27.3 million for properties in Los Angeles and Beverly Hills; and a $28.3-million bridge acquisition loan on a two-property, 130-unit multifamily portfolio.

On the latter deal, the low rate and interest only in the first two years of the loan term on the latter deal allowed sponsorship to strategically reposition the asset and bring online renovated and affordable housing in an area of Los Angeles with a desperate need for new housing.
