Virginia Stitzer with Troutman Pepper Leads a 100-Person Team Handling $90B in Annual Transactions
Virginia Stitzer, leader of Troutman Pepper Locke’s Multifamily Housing Finance practice group, oversees a team of more than 100 professionals. The team has handled 3,000 transactions annually across the 50 states and Washington, DC. In 2025, the group closed transactions totaling more than $90 billion in sales volume.
Stitzer specializes in Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac financing, advising lenders on loan origination, sales and servicing.
In 2025, she handled a loan pool exceeding $325 million for a multifamily development in Virginia on behalf of a Fortune 100 financial institution. She also represented a lender in a $500 million student housing portfolio transaction. She handled more than a dozen deals in 18 months for another lending platform, which included a $51 million package of Fannie Mae loans covering six properties.
Her honors include recognition in The Best Lawyers in America for Real Estate Law and Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch for Banking and Finance Law.
