Lydian Energy Selects 1501 M Street NW for DC Headquarters

Real Capital Solutions (RCS), in partnership with MRP Realty, announced that Lydian Energy has signed a lease at 1501 M Street NW, establishing the fast-growing renewable energy company’s headquarters in downtown Washington, D.C.

The lease marks the first completed transaction within the building’s Town Hall program, a move-in-ready office concept designed to help companies occupy space more quickly while providing access to shared, hospitality-driven amenities.

Lydian Energy develops and operates utility-scale solar and battery storage projects across the United States and holds a portfolio of over 5.0 GW of projects under development and under construction. The company is backed by Excelsior Energy Capital’s $1 billion Renewable Energy Infrastructure Fund II and is the Fund’s first operating portfolio company. Lydian currently employs 55 people across more than 20 states and expects to grow to approximately 70 employees in the coming months.

Located at the corner of 15th and M streets NW, the 178,510-square-foot Class A office property offers direct access to Metro and downtown Washington’s business district. Leasing is led by CBRE’s Joe Coleman, Lara Nealon and Brittany Gosnell, while property management is provided by MRP Realty. Cresa’s Samuel Heiber and Natalie Gosnell represented Lydian in the transaction.
