Shops of Heatherfield in Glenview Sold to The Shiner Group

Mid-America Real Estate | Investment Sales Group recently brokered the sale of Shops of Heatherfield, a core grocery-anchored shopping center located in Chicago’s North Shore.

The 89,253-square-foot center was sold to The Shiner Group. Principals Richard Drogosz and Joe Girardi were the exclusive brokers in the transaction on behalf of the seller, a global investment advisor.

Shops of Heatherfield is anchored by a strong-performing 70,848-square-foot Jewel-Osco. The leading market share grocer in Chicago, Jewel-Osco, has been a tenant at the center for over 20 years and recently extended its lease through 2033. Shops of Heatherfield is positioned within the Glenview retail trade area, which has experienced growth, according to Mid-America.

The transaction follows two similar Chicago-area retail deals, including the sale of the 117,000-square-foot Marketplace at Six Corners retail center in Portage Park and the 106,000-square-foot Townes Crossing shopping center in Oswego—both anchored by Jewel-Osco.
