John Buck Sells River North Apartments for $76M to Vista Property

3Eleven, a 25-story apartment building in Chicago’s River North neighborhood, has sold for $76 million. JLL represented the seller, Chicago developer The John Buck Company and its institutional partner, and found the buyer, New York-based Vista Property.

The JLL Investment Sales Advisory team was led by Kevin Girard, Mark Stern and Zach Kaufman. The JLL Debt Advisory team was led by Chris Knight and Mike Brady. The 245-unit high-rise apartment community was completed by Buck in 2018. Buck is also selling the 42-story Mila Chicago apartment building at 200 N. Michigan Avenue.

“We are very pleased to add the well-maintained and well-located 3Eleven to our growing portfolio of multifamily investments in Chicago,” said Hymie Mishan, principal at Vista Property.  “We are big believers in Chicago’s multifamily market, its continued rent growth and strong demand.”
