Zoning Change Approved for Village at Spanish Oaks

The City of Bee Cave Planning and Zoning Commission approved a zoning change for the 80-acre Village at Spanish Oaks. The change involved a switch from mixed-use and agriculture to mixed-use only, as well as an amendment to restrict weekend construction on the development until after 8 a.m. The next step is for the amendment and recommendation to be presented to the Bee Cave City Council.

Village at Spanish Oaks on West State Highway 71 is west of Austin, and would offer 500 to 700 residential units, 75,000 square feet of restaurant and retail space, an 80-room Inn and Spa at Spanish Oaks, and between 400,000 and 500,000 square feet of Class A office space. The developers are CCNG Inc. and Greenbrier Southwest Corp.

The city council will consider the commission’s recommendation on Oct. 9, 2018. A vote is scheduled for Oct. 23.
