Zego Software has new executive leadership with the announcement of Stephen Baker as its new president and general manager. Baker is “moving offices” as he was Zego’s prior chief product officer.

Zego, based in Sorrento Valley, Calif., provides a platform that helps owners of multifamily and other apartment properties offer online rent and utility payments for their tenants.

Founded in 2003 as Paylease, Zego was acquired by Global Payments in June 2021. The company services 6,000 residential real estate companies that represent about 12 million units, according to its website.

“Our pay solution is already the strongest offering in the market. We will continue to leverage this core competency while doubling down on resident experience through continued innovation and partnership expansion,” Baker said in a news release.
