XTO Energy Unloads Petroleum Building
XTO Energy Inc. continued the disposition of its properties with the most recent sale of the historic Petroleum Building in downtown Fort Worth. Locally based Sundance Square acquired the 14-story, 117,000-square-foot building and adjacent 12-story garage for an undisclosed price.
Ryan Matthews with JLL represented XTO Energy in the sale of the 90-year-old asset at 210 W. 6th St. Matthews is also leading the JLL team in selling the remaining assets, which are expected to come to market over the coming months. To date, XTO Energy sold four of its seven Fort Worth commercial real estate properties, totaling 281,204 square feet.
“We’re very proud of the outcome,” Matthews said of the Petroleum Building sale. “XTO hoped to secure a buyer who understood the level importance the Petroleum Building has for downtown Fort Worth. Sundance Square obviously fits this profile. We know that this historic asset is in great hands.”
