XTO Energy Unloads Fort Worth’s WT Waggoner Building

In its continued effort to dispose of Fort Worth commercial real estate assets, XTO Energy sold the historic WT Waggoner Building in downtown Fort Worth to Northland Properties Corp. The 119,846-square-foot building at 819 Houston St. opened in 1920.

The buyer, led by Tom Gaglardi, owns the Dallas Stars and Texas Stars (major and minor league hockey teams, respectively), as well as Moxie’s Grill & Bar and Shark Club Sports Bar & Grill. “The historical relevance of the WT Waggoner Building makes this the perfect hotel asset for us,” Gaglardi said.

JLL’s Ryan Mathews represented the energy company in the transaction. CBRE’s David Walters and Marty Neilon represented Northland. Matthews is aiding XTO in its Fort Worth building disposition program.
