Xscape Theaters Plans First Texas Opening – in Conroe

The Indiana-based Xscape Theatres acquired eight acres near Farm-to-Market Road 1488 and Old Conroe Road in Conroe, TX. The company plans to build its first Texas location on the site, with opening targeted for early 2018.

The 52,000-square-foot movie theater will have 12 screens. Capacity will be 1,530 customers. Rob Banzhaf with Newcor Commercial Real Estate represented the theater chain in the land sale with Survival LLC, and is scouting other locations in Texas for more theaters.

Xscape has operations in Florida, Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, New Jersey and Ohio. The chain is led by private investment firm Patoka Capital, and features leather recliner seats, an expanded menu and beverages.
