X Team Names Econic’s Chung as Western Regional Director

X Team Retail Advisors has named founder and principal James Chung of Campbell, CA-based The Econic Company, and Jeff Townsend, principal and co-founder of Austin-based Rise Commercial Partners, as the new Western regional and South Central regional directors, respectively. They succeed Anthony Johnson of Albuquerque, NM-based Pegasus Group, who served from 2020, and Bryan Cornelius of RetailUnion in Dallas, who served from 2022.

“A big thank you to Anthony and Bryan, who put in so much hard work during their tenure,” said Dave Chartham, president of X Team Retail Advisors. “I and the entire organization appreciate their dedication and leadership. However, taking their places are two equally hard-working and respected X Team members in James and Jeff. The entire platform says welcome.”

During his career, Chung has been the recipient of many awards, including Silicon Valley Business Journal’s Top 40 Under 40 in 2012 and ASVB (Association of Silicon Valley Brokers) Broker of the Year in 2015 and 2016. He was named among Chain Store Age’s “Power Four.”

Townsend specializes in retail and restaurant tenant representation, including strategic planning and expansion execution. Throughout his more than 25-year commercial real estate career, he has represented many national companies.
