Wynn’s $1.5B Vegas Lagoon-Resort Approved
Wynn Resorts’ board approved development of Paradise Park, a $1.5-billion lagoon-themed park in Las Vegas. A 20-acre water feature will anchor the park, and serve host to water sports by day and fireworks displays at night, on a site off the Las Vegas Strip adjacent to Wynn Resorts.
Paradise Park would sit behind the Wynn Las Vegas and Encore resort towers, where the nearly 130-acre Wynn Golf Club now stands.
The initial phase includes a white sand waterfront lagoon, 4,000-foot boardwalk, new convention space and food services. Eventually, the project is planned to also include a new tower, envisioned for a couple thousand rooms, as well as entertainment attractions.
Development on the first phase is expected to commence by January 2018, and is slated to be completed in 2019.
