Wynn Resorts Makes $336M Vegas Strip Land Grab for Future Development
Wynn Resorts is acquiring 38 acres of Las Vegas Strip land directly across from Wynn Las Vegas envisioned for future development. The $336-million purchase includes the 34-acre site of the former New Frontier and Alon Resort, as well as four additional acres connected to the site.
The unique assembly of contiguous land encompasses roughly 280 acres that spans from the Las Vegas Convention Center on Paradise Road from the east, to Industrial Road on the west. The combined Las Vegas Strip frontage totals more than 3,500 feet, and includes rights to roughly 1,000 acre feet of water.
The development envisioned by Wynn will further change Las Vegas tourist visitation patterns, drawing more visitors to the north end of Las Vegas Blvd., near Wynn’s collection of luxury resorts. Those include the Wynn Las Vegas and the Paradise Park development, slated to begin construction in January 2018.
