WS to Redevelop Cape Cod Shopping Plaza with Whole Foods as Anchor Tenant

Chestnut Hill-based WS Development is set to commence construction on the redevelopment of Capetown Plaza in Hyannis, Massachusetts, first reported by Boston Business Journal

The 26-acre property, which was previously home to Kmart, will be transformed into a shopping destination called The Landing at Hyannis. WS Development, known for projects like Legacy Place and MarketStreet Lynnfield, aims to create a retail center with outdoor spaces for customers to relax. The redevelopment plans include improving facades, interiors, and landscaping, as well as adding a common outdoor gathering area.

Whole Foods has signed a lease to become an anchor tenant. The first phase will focus on renovations, while the second phase will involve constructing new buildings and further site work.
