WS Development Acquires Pittsburgh’s Iconic Station Square

WS Development has acquired Station Square, one of Pittsburgh’s most recognizable destinations.

The 646,000-square-foot mixed-use district on the city’s South Shore spans 27.5 acres along the Monongahela River and has been a cornerstone of Pittsburgh’s waterfront revival since the 1970s. Built on the former site of the Pittsburgh & Lake Erie Railroad, Station Square preserves strong ties to the city’s industrial heritage.

“Station Square has long been one of Pittsburgh’s most distinctive places,” said Jeremy Sclar, Chairman and CEO of WS Development. “We’re inspired by its history and excited to build on that foundation as we imagine a future that sees this one-of-a-kind, mixed-use destination reach its full potential in serving the community and bringing exciting partners to Pittsburgh.”

Massachusetts-based WS Development is a mixed-use developer with 24 million square feet of existing space and an additional nine million square feet under development.
