WPC Delivers 20-Story Apartment Tower in Silver Spring, Maryland

Washington Property Company (WPC) has delivered Solaire 8250, a 20-story, 338-unit apartment tower in Silver Spring, MD. The property is the fourth Solaire-branded apartment community, and the second in Silver Spring. Later this year, WPC expects to break ground on a fifth Solaire-branded tower, which is slated to be the tallest building in Silver Spring.

Amenities at Solaire 8250 include a resort-style pool and pool deck, café, a private courtyard with grilling areas, a fitness center and an expansive residents’ club room with a flat-screen TVs and a game room. Residents will start to move into units this week. The 470,000-square-foot tower also includes three levels of below-grade parking as well as ground-floor retail.

Lee Engle of CBRE has been tabbed to lease out the retail component of the project. Lendlease of Rockville served as general contractor, and Design Collective of Baltimore was the architect.
