Worldwide Material’s IE Buy Aims to Help E-Commerce Solution

Worldwide Material Handling (WWMH) recently acquired a newly built 135,287-square-foot class-A industrial facility in San Bernardino. Located at 549 E. Central, the building was developed and sold by Hillwood Investment Properties, a Perot company.

The two parties entered escrow in early 2021, with the sale closing for approximately $21.5 million.

Tim Pimentel, Chuck Belden, Brice Larson and Kyle Kehner with Cushman & Wakefield’s Ontario office represented the buyer. Bill Heim and Alex Heim with Lee & Associates represented the seller.

“Over the years, Worldwide Material Handling has grown in San Bernardino from its smaller 5,000 to 10,000-square-foot buildings and expeditiously now to their newly acquired 135,287-square-foot facility. Like many companies, WWMH has experienced growth due to the long term e-commerce movement that has put heavy demand on industrial real estate regionally and nationally,” said Pimentel. “It’s great to see clients grow over time while also understanding the challenges they face. WWMH’s ultimately scaling to a large regional facility has been very satisfying to not only watch but be a part of. And with the added burdens of COVID, also seeing them a part of the solution in some ways to help meet the important needs of e-commerce consumers.”
