World Market Fills Last Vacancy at Assembly Square Marketplace

Federal Realty announced that World Market will open its second Massachusetts location this year at Assembly Row in Somerville. The new 18,361-square-foot showroom will fill the final vacancy in Assembly Square Marketplace and sit adjacent to Ashley Furniture. Good Time Golf (4,804 square feet), a new golf simulator and lounge; Pop-Up Bagels (1,395 square feet), the second Boston location of one of the region’s most popular bagel concepts; and Verizon Wireless (2,003 square feet) are also due to open this year.

“With the addition of World Market, the Marketplace will deliver a truly comprehensive group of home décor and furnishing options alongside Ashley Furniture, Bob’s, T.J. Maxx & HomeGoods and Raymour & Flanigan,” said David Middleton, VP and general manager of Assembly Row. “Good Time Golf and Pop-Up Bagels are both great additions that we hope will spark a lot of excitement amongst our residents, employees, visitors and neighbors.”

In addition, longtime tenant River Bar recently closed and is refreshing the concept. Set to open this spring/summer is Cocolee, a Pan-Asian concept.
