World Logistics Center Gets Initiative Support

The World Logistics Center, a 40.6-million-square-foot industrial park planned for Moreno Valley, has gathered 48,000 signatures in support of the project, which could create three ballot initiatives favoring its development.

The signature campaign follows eight lawsuits by various groups against the World Logistics Center, claiming the proposed project failed to consider possible traffic and environmental concerns. The Moreno City Council approved the Highland Fairview industrial park this past summer.

Initiatives both for and against the project could reportedly go before city residents for a vote in less than 100 days.
