World Business Chicago Taps Bears, Cubs Execs for Leadership Roles

Chicago Bears President and CEO Kevin Warren and Chicago Cubs Chairman Thomas Ricketts will join World Business Chicago. Warren will join the nonprofit’s executive committee, while Ricketts will join the board of directors, reported the Chicago Business Journal.

In April, Mayor Brandon Johnson and World Business Chicago Vice-Chair Charles Smith announced that Philip B. Clement has been selected to serve as president and CEO. World Business Chicago works to source, identify, and manage economic development projects throughout Chicagoland.

Besides Ricketts, other additions to the WBC board include Vamsi Bonthala, co-founder and CEO of Arbor Lodging Group, and Jim Hart, president of Burwood Group. “Having top executives from the leading 100 companies in Chicago on board will significantly benefit the city and region,” said Phil Clement, CEO and president of WBC, in a statement.
