NewQuest Properties broke ground on phase II of Townwest Commons, a community services, mixed-use development in Hutto, TX. The two buildings, totaling 15,560 square feet, are going north on the last retail tract that fronts SH 79 in the Austin metro’s northeast quadrant. The second phase will deliver in early 2020, and 53% of the space is already pre-leased to Go Wireless, SportClips and Castle Dental.

“We are seeing a lot of interest in phase II from the medical community,” said NewQuest’s Meredith McLeod-Cobb, who is handling leasing for the project. She added that NewQuest developing a professional office building to accommodate the unmet demand in the market.

The 32-acre Townwest Commons is anchored by Lowe’s Home Improvement, and has been 100% occupied, or close to it, for several years. The center is bordered b y SH 70 and Ed Schmidt and Alliance Boulevards.
