Work Launches on 250K-SF MXU Weir’s Plaza

Four Rivers Capital broke ground on Weir’s Plaza, a 250,000-square-foot, mixed-use development that is going north at the former site of Weir’s Furniture store in Dallas’ Uptown submarket. The 12-story building is targeted for completion in November 2021. GFF is the architect.

Pre-leasing has already begun at the development, located at 3219 Knox St. Kirkland & Ellis has leased 65,986 square feet of the office space. Tommy Nelson and Dennis Barnes with CBRE represented the landlord in the transaction. CBRE’s Kevin Kushner, Phil Puckett, Harlan Davis and Neal Puckett, along with Brooke Armstrong with JLL, represented Kirkland.

The office space is currently 65% pre-leased. WeWork inked a 71,598-square-foot deal, and Weir’s Furniture will occupy 28,000 square feet. Four Rivers obtained a construction loan through PCCP LLC, with JLL’s Tim Jordan and Clint Coe securing the financing.
