Work Begins on East Austin Boutique Hotel
Construction began on the 83-room Arrive hotel, a boutique product situated at East Sixth and Chicon Streets in East Austin. When the hotel opens in spring 2019, it will be the second Arrive. The first one, in Palm Springs, CA, opened in 2016.
The site once contained a Goodwill warehouse, which is being razed. A portion of another warehouse on the site, which is estimated to be 100 years old, will be incorporated into the hotel building, according to developers Ezra Callahan and Chris Pardo with Arrive Enterprises.
The five-story, East Austin hotel is being developed at a cost of approximately $17 million, and will include 3,500 square feet of event space and an outdoor courtyard. There is also room for retail.
