Work Begins on 165K-SF Independent Bank HQ

Developer KDC officially broke ground on the new corporate headquarters for Independent Bank. Upon completion, the 165,000-square-foot building at SH 121 and Grand Ranch Parkway in McKinney, TX, will eventually house more than 1,000 employees.

Located in the McKinney Corporate Center in Craig Ranch, the new headquarters is being built at an approximate cost of $52 million, and will become McKinney’s tallest building to date. SmithGroup JJR is the architect, and RO the general contractor. Bret Hefton and Graham Shelby with Avison Young represented Independent Bank Group during the transaction.

Since 2009, Independent Bank has made 11 corporate acquisitions, making it one of the fastest-growing banks in Texas.
