Woods Capital Snags McKool Building

A half-century-old building, situated along Central Expressway in Dallas, sold to Woods Capital Management LLC. Dubbed the McKool Building after its developer, the office asset at 5025 N. Central Expwy. was sold by Windle & Shirley Turley for an undisclosed price. Susan GwinBurks, John Bowles, and Bruce Butler of Colliers International represented the seller.

The three-story office building was developed by late Dallas lawyer and Texas State Senator Mike McKool, who delivered the building in the mid-1960s, with renovations taking place in 1999. According to the Colliers International brochure, the asset is 91% leased. The tenant mix includes medical and professional services companies.

“It’s probably a tear-down eventually, but we’re not in any hurry,” Woods Capital founder Jonas Woods told the Dallas Morning News. “We think it’s a great site.”
