Woodmont Named Developer of NJ Downtown Revitalization

The Scotch Plains Township Council has voted to designate Woodmont Properties as the conditional redeveloper of Scotch Plains, a nine-acre land in downtown New Jersey.

The Township Council and Woodmont Properties will work on a Redevelopment Agreement over the next 120 days to finalize the details of the project. The plan includes a maximum building height of four stories, ample parking, and new public spaces to enhance the village green.

“This is a historic moment for Scotch Plains,” Mayor Josh Losardo said. “This Township Council and Administration has been laser-focused on making redevelopment a reality, finally, for our downtown. This is no longer just the same talk that we’ve heard for years. Together, working collaboratively with the community, we have pushed the ball across the goal. It is truly a proud day.”
