Wood Partners’ Alta Centric MXU Approved by Portland Design Commission
Wood Partners received an approval from the Portland Design Commission for Alta Centric, a mixed-use residential development in the Goose Hollow neighborhood. The project at 1634 SW Alder St. is planned for eight stories and will include 203 units, along with commercial space on SW Morrison St.
A two-story 1925-era office building and parking lot currently occupies the steep grade site. The project is subject to the Portland’s inclusionary housing rules, requiring the provision of affordable housing or the payment of a fee-in-lieu.
The project has two exterior courtyards and will feature a brick-clad exterior, vinyl windows, aluminum storefronts and painted fiber cement panels.
Alta Centric still must secure a building permit prior to construction commencing. Wood Partners has a pair of other developments in Goose Hollow, including the ART Tower and the Alta Peak.
