Wonderful Starts Construction on Central Valley Corporate Facility

Wonderful Real Estate Development started construction on a new nearly 100,000-square-foot corporate office building, conference center, wellness center, amenity center and vocational school at Wonderful Industrial Park in Shafter, CA. This multifaceted complex is a first for a logistics park and the latest addition to the 1,625-acre, distribution center that is expected to deliver Q1 2022.

The Central Valley development’s newest tenant, Walmart Inc., is also preparing to move into its state-of-the-art cold storage warehouse and distribution center at 2701 S. Driver Rd. The 630,000-square-foot distribution center features a highly unique clear height of 80 feet to accommodate the mechanized movement of pallets and perishable goods. The facility is expected to allow distribution of product 40% faster utilizing the dynamic technology, design, and automation of this new plant.

Wonderful’s Joe Vargas says, “Any developer with available land near population centers across the United States is vying for this business and our park is well-positioned as consumer shopping habits continue to evolve.”
