Women in Real Estate Honoree: MaryAnne Gilmartin, Forest City Ratner

MaryAnne Gilmartin has led some of the biggest and most complicated transactions taken on by Forest City Ratner. After nearly 20 years at the company, she succeeded Bruce Ratner as CEO in 2013.

Mary Anne oversaw the fight to develop Atlantic Yards, now known as Pacific Park Brooklyn, the 22-acre redevelopment of rail yards in Downtown Brooklyn into a mix of housing towers and the Barclays Center arena. She also led the development of the new New York Times Building and the New York by Gehry residential skyscraper at 8 Spruce Street near City Hall.

Transformative developments like these are some of the reasons we chose Gilmartin to be one of the 2017 Women in Real Estate Award winners for New York. Connect Media’s Women in Real Estate Awards honor the achievements and inspirational stories of those women who have reached respected positions of leadership, and play key mentorship roles for others in commercial real estate.
