Women in Real Estate Honoree: Maranda Auzenne, Trademark Property Company

For Maranda Auzenne, it’s not enough to run one of the most prominent retail centers in Texas — she’s also deeply involved in local charities and the business community in her part of Dallas.

Her non-stop involvement in the lives around her is one of the reasons we chose Auzenne to be one of the 2017 Women in Real Estate Award winners for Texas. Connect Media’s Women in Real Estate Awards honor the achievements and inspirational stories of those women who’ve reached respected positions of leadership, and play key mentorship roles for others in commercial real estate.

Auzenne is the general manager of Hillside Village for Trademark Property Company. The retail center was formerly known as Uptown Village at Cedar Hill, a 77-acre, 610,000-square-foot shopping center in Cedar Hill, TX.

She is also the first African-American woman to chair the Best Southwest Partnership, which for three decades has encouraged economic growth in towns around Dallas. She has also been recognized as a Distinguished Minority Business Leader by the Dallas Business Journal.

She also gives back to her community, sitting on the boards of Bridges Safehouse, a transitional home for women and children who homeless women and children, and Hope Mansion, for unwed mothers.
