Women in Real Estate Honoree: Lynn Owen, TruAmerica Multifamily

Despite her busy schedule, Lynn Owen makes time for others. One example of this was in 2016, when she helped raise $600,000 at the Chrysalis Butterfly Ball to help Chrysalis, a nonprofit fighting homelessness.

Over her three-decade career, Owen has directly managed or been responsible for $20.5 billion of assets under management totaling about 100,000 apartments. As chief operations officer for TruAmerica Multifamily, she manages TruAmerica’s value-add program across its entire portfolio, to keep costs of the firm’s construction budget under control.

That’s just one of the reasons we chose Owen to be one of the 2017 Women in Real Estate Award winners for California. Connect Media’s Women in Real Estate Awards honor the achievements and inspirational stories of those women who’ve reached respected positions of leadership, and play key mentorship roles for others in commercial real estate.
